Buaji Saheba was the elder sister of Maharaj Saheb. Maharaj Saheb made indications about Buaji Saheb a month prior to his departure "Why do people grope about here and there? Some pin their faith in some person and other in some other. This is all non-sense. If they are really serious why don't they seek in where there is Nij Ansh? The Nij Ansh is in the female form and as such She cannot be expected to function fully. If it be the Mauj, She can function more or less in the same way as did Mira Bai and Sahjo Bai. This Nij Ansh shall, in future, function fully as an Acharya in the male form". Buaji Saheba followed Maharaj Saheb as Sant Sat Guru.
Huzur Maharaj had stated "Soamiji Maharaj had told Him that two Nij Anshs of His (Soamiji's) were in Benares as brother and sister, and they should be taken care of.
Buaji Saheba was a full 'Avtar' (incarnation) of Radhasoami Dayal, but as She was not an Acharya Guru, She could not fully discharge all the function of Sant Sat Guru. The Samadh of Buaji Saheba is in 'Sat Lok', there is no Samadh here. Her ashes are currently held at Soami Bagh but at some time in the future her ashes will be placed in Maharaj Saheb's Samadh in other words it will become a joint Samadh and the Bhandara of Maharaj Saheb will become a joint Bhandara.
Buaji Saheba was senior to Maharaj Saheb by four years. Her name was Maheshwari Devi. Her husband's name was Parmeshwar Dutt. She had 10 children six sons and four daughters.
Buaji Saheba presided over Satsang, accepted Bhet, allowed others to pay obeisance by touching Her feet, distributed Prashad, held Bhogs and Bhandaras, let Herself be photographed with Satsangis, gave Darshan to all during Her last days without any Purdah (veil) in spite of being a Purdah-nashin (remaining veiled behind a curtain) lady, etc., She performed all functions of a Sant Sat Guru, except two things, delivering discourses and imparting initiation.
Buaji Saheba left Her mortal coil at 12:30 in the night between Tuesday the 20th May and Wednesday, the 21st May, 1913. The existence of Buaji Saheba in the bodily form on this earth as essential for the process of cleansing and separating pure Satsang and pure Parmarthi activities from the undesirables. Maharaj Saheb often observed that the next Sant Sat Guru would apply the cleansing process, and pure Satsang would be left very much reduced.
